How do I securely share a OneDrive file or folder?
OneDrive allows you to securely share files with non-EWU recipients without requiring them to have a Microsoft or Office 365 account.
- To begin log into OneDrive on the Web. If you're unsure how to get there, navigate to inside.ewu.edu -> Cloud Storage -> OneDrive.
- Once signed in either upload your file (Clicking on the + Create or upload button) or navigate to the file that you wish to share.
- Hover your cursor over the document and a list of options will appear. Select Share.

- Add the e-mail address of the intended recipient and any applicable message, if desired. Then click the Link Settings button.

- If you wish to share your file with an internal user (someone within EWU), select People In Eastern Washington University.
If you wish to share your file an external user (someone outside of the EWU organization), select Anyone.

- Pay special attention to the highlighted area. From here you can change the permissions level (see below for the available options), set an expiration date to automatically expire the link and even set a password. Click Apply to Finish.
