I see a Web Login Service - Stale Request message when connecting to the VPN. What do I do?
When connecting to EWU's Virtual Private Network (VPN), Global Protect, you may see a message that mentions Web Login Service - Stale Request.
To fix this issue, close the dialogue box by clicking on the X at the top right of the window.
Next, relaunch Global Protect. This can be done by tapping the Windows Key and typing GlobalProtect or searching for the GlobalProtect icon in the tray at the bottom of your screen. Now click Connect.
A new window will open, asking for your login credentials. These next steps are crucial to your success in connecting to the VPN:
- Enter your username
- Enter your SSO password
- CLICK (with your mouse) on the Login button.
Hitting Enter after entering your username and SSO password will result in the Stale Request error message
