What steps do I need to take if I decide to resign or leave University employment?
The first step is to notify your supervisor in writing of your intent to resign. This may be done via email communication. Then make sure you complete the following additional steps:
- Return all department equipment and materials, including university issued cell phones.
- Return keys and ID card to Access Control.
- Ensure any outstanding parking citations have been paid.
- Ensure any outstanding payroll obligations have been paid. Contact Payroll at 359-2325 for questions.
- Ensure Library/media materials have been returned.
- If you are a faculty member ensure grades have been turned in.
- If you have questions regarding your insurance benefits, please contact the Benefits office at 509-359-2488 .
- Ensure travel obligations have been met.
- Ensure that Communication Services (IT) has been notified of separation (ext. 2247).
- Please check and or update your address in EagleNET as your year-end W-2 will be mailed to your permanent address that is listed in EagleNET.
