Turnitin is a cloud-based tool that helps instructors check student work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by processing it through their text comparison database, comprised of current and archived web pages, submitted student papers and partnered content publishers. Turnitin guides: Creating an Assignment Accessing the Similarity Report FAQ's for Instructors Enabling Turnitin for an Assignment Turnitin can only be used for online "Assignment" submissions wtihin Canvas. When creating a new assignment or editing an assignment, ensure you have the following settings selected: Submission Type: "Text Entry" or "File Uploads" Plagiarism Review: Turnitin You can then choose specific Turnitin settings.
